The AARA Alaska Racquetball Anchorage Tournaments / Shuttles are listed below
AARA Sponsors help us provide participants & spectators snacks, meals, prizes & the post-season banquet so please thank them when you see them! We’re a small community and welcome extra people joining us. Stop by and share some laughter and a snack with us.
Shuttles will be held with divisions between skill levels when possible. The shuttle will have 8-minute rounds with a 2-minute transition between courts. There will be a 10-15 minute Admin time between each shuttle division start. Bring a good attitude and know it will be self-officiated as described here.
Entry into any AARA tournament means all parties, even participant’s spectators, agree to assume all risks; injury, damage &/or expenses arising out of participation in or attending the events. Specifically the 2022 USA Racquetball Event Release Form (here).
If you’d like to fly in for one of the AARA tournaments or shuttles but could use a place to stay or transportation assistance, please fill in our Travel Assistance Form so we can reach out to our Anchorage area racquetball community contacts to see if your desired request can be assisted with. NOTE – In No Case can the AARA nor the AARA Board be held accountable for any issues experienced by you or the host that you select if a host or vehicle is offered. APRIL 18-21, 2024 Alaska State Singles Tournament – Enter online here.
Events: Open, Elite, A, B, C, 40, 50, 60 & 70+ entry permitting, Recreational and Juniors
Cost: $40 1st event, $15 for the 2nd event. Juniors are Free.
NOTE: The Alaska Club East charges an entrance fee to all non-members, $25 / 4 days. You must retain your Receipt to re-enter.
Location: Alaska Club East
To encourage Year End Banquet/Celebration attendance, all State Singles entrants can attend the celebration for no additional cost at Main Event on April 20 at 6 pm. There will be a bartender available for those wishing to purchase an alcoholic beverage. The banquet cost is $40 per person to attend so any non-entrant wishing to attend may contribute $40; pre-registering here.
The tournament will be held Thursday through Sunday at the Alaska Club East. Weekday matches will begin at 5:30 & run until closing. Saturday matches will run from 9:00 am til 5 pm. If Sunday matches are necessary they will begin at 1 pm & are expected to finish by 5 pm so that out-of-town players can catch an evening flight home.
